It’s strangely coincidental that PlayStation Network is experiencing an outage just after reports surfaced that Sony plans to retire the PSN brand. Many users worldwide are reporting that the network is down on Saturday, affecting both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles and displaying an offline status.
DownDetector is showing a significant increase in reports of PlayStation Network (PSN) connectivity problems, with over 5,500 users reporting issues in the last hour.
Even though many users are experiencing problems and reporting them, the official PlayStation service status page currently states that everything is working normally.
