Fans of the Kill Bill movies will finally be able to experience the complete series in the best possible quality at home.
Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair combines his 2003 and 2004 Kill Bill films into one four-and-a-half-hour movie. While finished in 2006, it was rarely shown in theaters until 2025, when Lionsgate gave it a wider release. Now, the complete version is becoming even more accessible.
Starting February 17th, you’ll be able to purchase Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair digitally through Apple TV. It’s available for pre-order now for $19.99. While it’s not currently clear if it will be on Prime Video, both Kill Bill films are available to rent on Amazon. Many fans consider The Whole Bloody Affair to be the definitive way to experience the movie.
Originally planned as a single film, Kill Bill stars Uma Thurman as Beatrix Kiddo, nicknamed “The Bride.” She’s a former assassin who wants to start a new life after becoming pregnant. However, her old colleagues betray her, leaving her for dead. Years later, Beatrix embarks on a quest for revenge, hunting down each person who wronged her, ultimately confronting Bill (David Carradine), her former lover and the mastermind behind the attack.
Let’s be real, while Quentin Tarantino’s films like Inglourious Basterds and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood often get the Oscar buzz, Kill Bill always felt a little different. It’s clearly inspired by those over-the-top, action-packed movies from the 70s, and maybe that’s why some critics didn’t take it as seriously. But don’t let that fool you – Kill Bill is iconic, and fans clearly love it. Both Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 score really well on Rotten Tomatoes – 85% and 84% respectively – proving it’s a well-regarded piece of work.
Notably, Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair received a 100% rating from 29 reviews. The 2025 re-release earned $6.3 million worldwide. While not a huge commercial hit like the original films, it was a special showing for dedicated fans.
The memorable cast of Kill Bill features Lucy Liu, Daryl Hannah, Vivica A. Fox, and Michael Madsen. Fans still frequently talk about the possibility of a third Kill Bill movie, though it’s unlikely to be made. Popular choices for new characters include Uma Thurman’s daughter, Maya Hawke, as B.B., and Zendaya as a young woman seeking revenge on Beatrix.
You’ll be able to buy Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair on Apple TV starting February 17, 2026.
