In Image Comics’ “Radiant Black,” the conclusion of The Catalyst War has been reached, yet the heroes are still grappling with the repercussions. One of the major mysteries revolves around the whereabouts of the Yellow Radiant, as its former bearer, Wendell, was detached from it when timelines began to intersect. In “Radiant Black” issue 36, readers not only uncover the fate of the Yellow Radiant but also encounter its new owner in an issue that’s impressive from start to finish. Readers who stick around until the end will find a way they can influence real-life events as well (and it features a video that no fan of the Massive-Verse should miss).
For the Yellow Radiant, time isn’t linear. Five months ago, a woman named Nance encountered the Radiant and underwent a life-changing experience. By absorbing the Radiant’s unique ability to perceive time differently, Nance saw significant changes in her current life that helped her complete a journey in a profoundly meaningful way.

Nance, once battling drug issues and addiction, now strives to get by as comfortably as possible. The Yellow Radiant offers a distinct method for this, as she employs her talent in helping people locate lost items and individuals. This enables her to collect enough compensation to cover essentials like food. A fresh dimension enters the narrative when we encounter Nance’s sister, Franky, leading to revealing conversations about their shared history, family background, and past errors.
Regrettably, we’re parting ways with Nance sooner than expected, but even after just one issue, the team has created something truly impactful that I won’t forget easily. Though The Yellow Radiant is no longer with Nance, the series offers an opportunity to make a real-life difference by helping feed those in need. This is demonstrated in a charming video featuring Radiant Black himself, which you can watch in the video above.
Radiant Black notes, “Do you recall television shows from the 80s addressing topics like anti-drug messages or condemning bullying? Well, it seems that the ‘war on drugs’ has essentially been won by…drugs themselves. Alf, our beloved pet alien, may have met his end in government custody. This is part of the established storyline, so feel free to verify it yourself.
In simpler terms, Radiant Black goes on to say, “Although many things have changed, one issue remains just as important – hunger. While there may be large-scale solutions we could consider, let’s face the truth. The most effective way to make a difference is by supporting each other.
