Fans of “Rascal Does Not Dream” series, rejoice! Additional content from this beloved series is making its way onto Crunchyroll as part of the current season’s airing, which adapts a new story arc. This means that two previously unavailable pieces of content will now be streamable on the platform, thus completing the franchise and providing fans with a single destination where they can enjoy all episodes and movies from the series in one place.
On August 2, 2025, Crunchyroll’s official account (previously Twitter) has verified that they will offer both subtitled and dubbed versions of the movies “Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out” and “Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid”. This announcement follows the release of the sequel movie, “Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl”, which was added to the platform a few weeks ago. Now, all movies, series, and the current season from this franchise are available on Crunchyroll, marking years since only the first installment was accessible. This development makes it simpler for fans to watch all episodes, and also solves the issue of watching in the correct order, as the lengthy titles previously caused confusion among fans.
Rascal Does Not Dream Has Never Been Easier To Watch
Get excited! The movies “Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister New Bond” and “Rascal Does Not Dream of a Backpack Boy” are coming to Crunchyroll this coming Saturday, so mark your calendars if you’re eager to watch! Who’s looking forward to it?

The anime titled “Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out” is based on the eighth book of the light novel series penned by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Kēji Mizoguchi. The story unfolds towards the end of Sakuta’s second year and Mai’s graduation. Kaede, who had been staying indoors for a while, decides to step out again and aspires to attend Sakuta’s high school. Although he wants to encourage her, Sakuta questions if this is truly in her best interest or if it reflects her true desires. Their future now seems more unpredictable than ever before.
Title altered to: “Rascal Without a Dream of the Beach-bound Child”
In March, Sakuta attends Mai’s graduation ceremony, only to later spot a girl reminiscent of young Mai on the seashore. However, he can’t tell if this is a dream or an hallucination. As he grapples with this mystery, his father contacts him – their long-hospitalized mother wishes to meet Kaede. Despite the burdensome memories from Kaede’s past, Sakuta agrees to this encounter, apprehensive about her potential reunion with someone she hasn’t seen since everything took a dramatic turn in their lives.
Honestly, I couldn’t help but feel frustrated when I found out that two key movies for “Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus” were inaccessible, making the storyline a bit tangled. But now, thankfully, all three films are available! It’s like a dream come true, and while it took longer than expected, happening halfway through season 2, it was definitely worth the wait!
