I tried out the E-WIN Champion Upgraded chair in late 2025, but unfortunately, it caused me significant back pain and I didn’t enjoy using it.
I immediately started looking online for a good alternative. Luckily, I didn’t have to search for long because Razer sent me their Razer Iskur V2 X NewGen gaming chair to try out.
Now that Black Friday was over, I could finally test out Razer’s chair. I’m happy to report that the Razer Iskur V2 X NewGen is a real relief for my back – it’s well-built, comfortable, and designed to support good posture.
With a very reasonable price of just $349.99, this is a gaming chair I’d happily recommend to anyone. While there’s always room for improvement, it offers excellent quality for the money.
Here is my review of the Razer Iskur V2 X NewGen gaming chair.
I received a review sample of this product from Razer, but I want to be clear: Razer had absolutely no influence over my opinions, and they didn’t get to see this review before it was published. My assessment is completely independent.
Razer Iskur V2 X NewGen: Build quality and assembly

The Razer Iskur V2 X NewGen was easy to assemble. It came with clear, well-illustrated instructions and all the necessary tools, making the setup process straightforward and trouble-free.
How challenging it is to assemble this chair will vary depending on your strength and the amount of space you have. If you’re not very strong or have trouble moving around, you might need someone to help, as some of the chair parts are quite heavy.
The Razer Iskur V2 X NewGen gaming chair feels incredibly well-made. The upholstery, a next-generation leatherette with cooling technology, is both comfortable and seems like it will last a long time. The chair’s sturdy metal base easily supports my weight (over 230 pounds) and remains stable in any position.
Just keep in mind that Razer says this chair is best for people weighing up to 299 pounds. Gamers around my size shouldn’t have any problems, but it might not hold up well for those between 300 and 400 pounds, particularly if it isn’t put together correctly.
Razer Iskur V2 X NewGen: Comfort, durability, and features

The Razer Iskur V2 X NewGen gaming chair is customizable, letting you adjust it for a comfortable fit. It features durable armrests that move in two directions, a backrest that can recline up to 152 degrees, and adjustable seat height.
I’ve adjusted the chair’s settings and found it’s comfortable in any position. The seat is particularly good for long periods of sitting, with dense cushioning that provides excellent support, and the padded armrests are comfortable while working.

The back and lower back support felt a little firm, especially compared to the very soft seat. It wasn’t nearly as harsh as some other chairs I’ve tried, and any discomfort I experienced was probably because I wasn’t sitting with good posture, not because of the chair itself.
I’ve only had the chair for a week, so I’m still getting used to it. I expect it will become more comfortable over time as I break in the backrest and lumbar support.
I do wish this chair included a lumbar support pillow, but you have to buy it separately from Razer for $59.99.
Should you buy the Razer Iskur V2 X NewGen?

✅ You should buy this if:
- You’re looking for a high-quality and durable mid-range chair with comfortable seat cushioning and armrests.
- You need a chair that’s simple and easy to put together.
- A chair that won’t cost you over $400.
❌ You should not buy this if:
- You weigh over the 299lb recommended weight limit.
- You want a chair with a softer backrest and lumbar support.
- If you want a chair bundled with a lumbar support pillow to help ease back pain.
Although the Razer Iskur V2 X NewGen costs $349.99 – more than other chairs we’ve tested, such as the Razer Enki X or Sihoo M57 – its exceptional comfort and durable construction make it a worthwhile investment, particularly for a chair in this price range.
If high-end gaming chairs like the Secretlab TITAN Evo NanoGen or Razer Iskur V2 are too expensive, the Razer Iskur V2 X NewGen is a fantastic, budget-friendly option.
