Resident Evil Requiem Is the Biggest Download in Series History on PS5

Make sure you have plenty of storage space on your PS5 if you plan to download Resident Evil Requiem. According to data from PlayStation Game Size, the game will require 72.88GB of space.

The new Resident Evil game will be the largest in the series ever released, needing significantly more storage space than previous titles. It requires much more space than Resident Evil 4 (58GB) and is nearly three times bigger than Resident Evil Village, which needed 27.3GB.

Although a game’s file size isn’t always a good measure of how much content it has, Resident Evil Requiem is like getting two games in one. You experience the story through the eyes of both Grace and Leon. Grace’s part focuses on classic survival horror, while Leon’s is more action-packed. The game frequently switches between their viewpoints, creating a single, unified story.

Resident Evil Requiem comes out on PlayStation 5 next week, February 27th, 2026. If you buy a digital copy in advance, you’ll be able to download all 72GB of the game’s data two days early.
