As a huge fan of The Rings of Power, I’m thrilled to hear that not only is season three coming, but they’re already working on a fourth! It’s amazing to think the story will continue even beyond that, and it shows how much confidence Amazon has in the show. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Sources say that planning for the next season of the show will start this fall, and filming is expected to begin in 2027.
Prime Video hasn’t officially announced a fourth season of the show yet. TopMob has reached out to Prime Video for a statement.
The third season of the show, starring Morfydd Clark and an ensemble cast, will premiere on November 11th. It jumps forward in time “several years” after the previous season, and is set during the height of the war between Sauron and the elves, as the One Ring is being forged.
We recently got a sneak peek at the upcoming season with a dramatic image of Charlie Vickers as Sauron, shrouded in darkness.

Peter Friedlander, who leads global television at Amazon MGM Studios, explained that the series was designed from the start to be large in scope, highly ambitious, and feature the kind of high-quality storytelling seen in Prime Video’s most popular international shows.
Millions of fans worldwide have shown incredible support, proving that this story set in Middle-earth still connects with people. Interest is actually increasing as we head into the third season.
Morfydd Clark, who plays Galadriel, and Robert Aramayo, recently recognized with a BAFTA award for his role as Elrond, will both be back for season 3, along with newcomer Owain Arthur as Durin.
I’m really excited to see some new actors joining the cast! We’ve got Jamie Campbell Bower, who I loved in ‘Stranger Things,’ Eddie Marsan – he’s fantastic in ‘Sherlock Holmes’ – and a few other great names like Andrew Richardson, Zubin Varla, and Adam Young. We don’t know what roles they’ll be playing yet, but I’m definitely intrigued!
Season 3 of The Rings of Power premieres on November 11th. You can currently watch seasons 1 and 2 on Prime Video, and new subscribers can start a free 30-day trial.
