Microsoft is set to make a splash at Gamescom 2025 with a wide selection of playable games, including the much-anticipated title “Hollow Knight: Silksong”. Visitors will also have the opportunity to get hands-on experience with the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X. There’s been lots of chatter about when pre-orders and pricing might be available, but billbil-kun from Dealabs has provided a more specific date – possibly in August.
It’s said that pre-orders will start on August 20th, with prices rumored to be €599 for the ROG Xbox Alliance and €899 for the Xbox Alliance X. Although an official release date hasn’t been announced yet, this seems to strengthen speculation about a late October launch.
Microsoft has hinted that the handheld PCs will be out by this upcoming holiday season. They’re kicking off the first day of their Xbox live stream at Gamescom 2025 on August 20th at 6 AM PDT, with a focus on the ROG Xbox Ally. It’s possible that pre-orders may open during this broadcast, so keep an eye out for further information in the meantime.
