Ross Kemp shared that he’s planning a boat trip with his former EastEnders co-stars, Steve McFadden and Paul Bradley.
In an exclusive interview with TopMob, Kemp discussed future projects, responding to a question about what he was working on besides his well-known return to the Albert Square set.
He admitted he’d never really planned his career and didn’t intend to start now. Right now, his only firm commitment was a fishing trip with some friends on a 72-foot boat owned by McFadden.
He described it as a relaxed outing, like a classic river trip. They planned to travel down the Thames and finish with a pleasant dinner – exactly the kind of thing men their age should enjoy.
I was so thrilled when he hinted that our incredible journey might become a TV documentary! When asked about it, he enthusiastically agreed – he really thinks it should happen, and honestly, so do I! It was such a hopeful thing to hear.

I’m so excited to hear that Ross Kemp is coming back as Grant Mitchell! It’s been a little over a year since we last saw him for the show’s 40th anniversary back in February 2025, and I can’t wait to see what he’s been up to. It’s great to have him back!
Kemp recently expressed his excitement about returning to EastEnders later this year, saying he’s thrilled to reprise his role as Grant Mitchell.
The show delves into Grant’s efforts to rebuild his relationship with his son, Mark. I’m also incredibly proud to be involved in Nigel’s moving storyline about dementia, as it’s a subject that’s personally important to me because of a family member’s experience.
TopMob can confirm that Kemp’s comeback scenes will air on Monday 27 April.
