Sabrina Carpenter, Stevie Nicks Have Showstopping Performance at Met

Sabrina Carpenter and Stevie Nicks were ready to rock a little at the 2026 Met Gala.

Singer Stevie Nicks, known for her hit “Landslide” and her time with Fleetwood Mac, delivered a memorable performance at a fundraising event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4th.

The show kicked off with Sabrina, who traded her usual Dior outfit for a stunning 2018 Versace gown. The dress featured iconic paintings of Marilyn Monroe and James Dean by Andy Warhol. She was escorted onto the stage by four men in tuxedos while performing her song, “Espresso.”

The 26-year-old performer continued with songs like “House Tour” and “Please, Please, Please.” Videos shared by the Met showed celebrities such as Teyana Taylor enjoying the show and dancing along.

Stevie Nicks captivated the audience performing “Gypsy” and “Edge of Seventeen” before the Temple of Dendur. She then surprised everyone by bringing Sabrina Carpenter back onstage for a special duet in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Egyptian wing, after changing from a stylish Zara outfit into a dramatic, flowing dress and jacket.

The 77-year-old began singing “Landslide” as Sabrina joined.

She playfully asked, “What is love?” then wondered if she could overcome her inner doubts, navigate life’s challenges, and cope with all its changes.

Stevie replied, “I don’t know. We don’t know,” and then they finished the song together in harmony. When Sabrina returned to the stage, she wore a stunning gold dress with fringe, designed by Bob Mackie – she’d also helped Stevie sing “Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow.”

The beautiful performances were a delightful treat for guests after they finished their Northern Italian-inspired dinners. And what did those dinners consist of?

Chef Olivier Cheng explained that he designed the meal as a three-part experience: an appetizer he called ‘the garden,’ a main course titled ‘the statue,’ and a dessert known as ‘the silhouette.’ The meal started with a burrata and green tomato salad, followed by rack of lamb, and concluded with a red velvet cake flavored with raspberry.

He explained to Vogue that the three chapters are designed to be a culinary experience, mirroring the overall theme of the exhibition.
