Sabrina Impacciatore is proof that la dolce vita is actually so sweet.
The actress, known for her role in The White Lotus, was excited to celebrate her Italian heritage and the start of the Winter Olympics in Milan on February 6th. The Games began with a ceremony at the San Siro Stadium.
Sabrina, a celebrated comedian in Italy who was born in Rome, honored Italy’s history and the Olympic host cities of Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo during the Opening Ceremony. She was joined by musical stars Mariah Carey, Italian singer Laura Pausini, and renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli.
After the Parade of Nations, the actress introduced this year’s Olympic mascots, Tina and Milo, in a short, pre-recorded video. She then took to the stage wearing a silver and gold outfit to perform a six-minute dance showcasing the history of the Olympic Games.
Sabrina, known for her roles in shows like The Paper and The White Lotus, was originally confirmed to participate in the Opening Ceremony back in December. A press release described her as a remarkably sensitive and talented actress.

The performer’s genuine and captivating energy on stage allows her to connect with people from all backgrounds, communicating through a way that everyone can understand, regardless of their culture or language.
Organizers explained that her involvement in the Opening Ceremony will significantly enrich the story of the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games. They noted that the actress, known for her Emmy nomination, will create a moving and memorable moment for viewers at San Siro Stadium, embodying the heart and soul of the Games.

The 2026 Olympics kicked off in Milan, but the celebration wasn’t limited to just one city. Events, ceremonies, and athlete parades also took place in Predazzo, Livigno, and the other host city, Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Because the Olympics were being co-hosted by Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, a historic first was taking place: two Olympic cauldrons would be lit during the Opening Ceremony. One cauldron is located at Milan’s famous Arco della Pace, and the other is in Piazza Dibona, right in the center of Cortina d’Ampezzo.
