The open-world shooter SAND: Raiders of Sophie, previously known as SAND, is scheduled to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (via Steam) in the first quarter of 2026. This was announced by publisher tinyBuild and developers Hologryph and TowerHaus.
Following the recent playtest, the developers at Hologryph and tinyBuild have been reviewing all the player feedback. To make sure the game meets player expectations and incorporates everything they’ve learned, they’ve decided to delay the launch until the first quarter of 2026.
The team explained that launching the game is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and they want to ensure it lives up to their expectations and provides players with the best experience possible.
Although they haven’t announced a specific date yet, tinyBuild and Hologryph are confident they know how much work is left on the game. They plan to share a release date in early 2026.

In SAND: Raiders of Sophie, you pilot massive walkers across a desolate, post-apocalyptic planet. It’s an online shooter where you compete against other players, scavenge for resources, and try to escape with your loot in a dangerous and unpredictable world.
To survive and thrive on this unforgiving planet, you’ll build and use Tramplers – massive, mobile bases. These will protect you from the environment, defend your resources from other players, and clear the way as you strive to become the most feared pirate on the desert landscape!
