So, if you loved Returnal – another awesome reason to have a PS5 – get ready for Saros! It’s coming soon and looks like it’s really going to use everything the PS5 can do. They just dropped a new trailer showing off all the features, like the 3D audio which is going to be amazing for the music and all the creepy sounds of the monsters in Carcosa.
The game features adaptive triggers, making each weapon feel unique. This is further enhanced by Arjun’s barrier, which charges with a simple hold, but releases in a more patterned, rhythmic way. It’s still unclear whether using alternate fire will continue to require holding down the L2 button for the entire duration.
Haptic feedback lets you feel what’s happening in the game – like when projectiles hit Arjun or the direction he’s dodging. Plus, the fast SSD means you get back into the action almost instantly after dying. You’ll encounter new bosses, and a strange voice hints that the sun will never set, which isn’t good news for Arjun and his friends as they try to break free from the endless cycle of death in Carcosa.
Saros launches on PlayStation 5 on April 30th. You can watch a behind-the-scenes video to get to know the characters better, or find out more about how the game plays here.
