Delighted to share some exciting news, fellow enthusiasts of SAS Rogue Heroes! I’m thrilled to announce that our beloved historical action series has indeed been given the green light for a third season. Better yet, filming has already commenced, so we can look forward to more thrilling adventures soon!
For the upcoming season, Jack O’Connell will continue his role as Paddy Mayne, with Sofia Boutella, Dominic West, Theo Barklem-Biggs, and Corin Silva reprising their respective roles as Eve Mansour, Dudley Clarke, Reg Seekings, and Jim Almonds.
In addition to the cast, Jacob Ifan portrays Pat Riley, Jacob McCarthy takes on the role of Johnny Cooper, Stuart Campbell is cast as Bill Fraser, Bobby Schofield plays Dave Kershaw, and Jack Barton is assigned the part of John Tonkin.
For Season 3, we welcome several new cast members: Lorne MacFadyen takes on the role of Reverend Fraser McLusky, while Nick Hargrove, Andrew Dawson, and Jake Jarratt portray new trainees.
Actors from past seasons who are yet to be announced for the new season and whose characters were still alive last time we saw them include Connor Swindells portraying David Stirling, Gwilym Lee playing Bill Stirling, Mark Rowley as Jock McDiarmid, and Con O’Neill enacting General Montgomery.

In the summer of 1944, set in France, a group led by Paddy Mayne, known as “The Rogues,” are dropped far beyond enemy lines with a mission: to sabotage and create chaos within the powerful German army, which is attempting to halt the progress of the Allied forces.
Together with the French resistance and fresh troops, the SAS encounter formidable obstacles yet again, as the liberation of Western Europe commences.
I’m excited because we’re diving back into the series at a crucial point – the war is reaching its peak, and the allies are gearing up to free France!
As the frontline advances, the Special Air Service (SAS) are excelling in their signature tactics, causing disorder and destruction among the defending Axis troops. This war has never been more brutal, and the risks have never been higher. The Rogue Heroes push for victory, but at what personal and moral cost to themselves?
Simultaneously, Karen Wilson, co-Managing Director at production company Kudos and executive producer on the show, expressed being astounded by how Steven Knight raises the bar, as his scripts immersively plunge us into the captivating world of these extraordinary characters, portrayed by a talented group of actors.
Wilson mentioned, “If you found series two enjoyable, get ready for an even better experience with series three!
The new six-part season is currently filming, with shooting set to take place in the UK and France.
Prior to the debut of season 2, Knight expressed his aspirations for SAS Rogue Heroes, stating that he aimed not only for another season but to extend the drama all the way through the end of the war, and slightly beyond.
How many seasons that will take, is currently unknown.
SAS Rogue Heroes seasons 1-2 are available to stream now on BBC iPlayer.
