Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Spinoff Show and Cast Revealed

The secret is out: A new Secret Lives of Mormon Wives show is on the way.

Following the resolution of Taylor Frankie Paul’s domestic violence case, filming for season five of the Hulu series will restart. Hulu also announced at their Get Real House Live event on April 22nd that they are creating a spinoff show.

The new season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County will follow a fresh group of social media personalities from Southern California. Returning cast member Mayci Neeley will be joined by her sister, McCall DaPron, as well as new faces including Aspyn Ovard, Avery Woods, Salomé Andrea, Chandler Higginson, Ashleigh Pease, and Madison Bontempo.

The original cast of Mormon Wives – Taylor, Jen Affleck, Whitney Leavitt, Jessi Draper, and Mikayla Matthews – weren’t initially listed as being part of the new season’s lineup.

Some of the stars from the show Mormon Wives have moved on to other reality TV programs. Jen and Whitney recently competed on Dancing With the Stars. Taylor was originally chosen to be the next Bachelorette, but ABC canceled her season after a video surfaced showing a physical fight between her and her former partner, Dakota Mortensen, in 2023.

Jen has suggested she’s considering new projects and has been thinking about why she first joined the show Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

She shared her story on Instagram on March 22nd, hoping it would connect with or inspire others. She wanted to be open and honest about her experiences as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including both the positive and challenging aspects.

The 26-year-old, who shares four children – Nora, 4, Luca, 2, Penelope, 13 months, and another child – with her husband, Zac Affleck, explained she wanted to represent mothers on Dancing With the Stars. She also discussed her experience of marrying young and the challenges that come with societal and cultural expectations in a relationship.

I know people tune into reality TV for the drama, but I’d love to see more of the genuine, positive moments too – like the strength and beauty of motherhood, and inspiring birth stories. Ever since I was a young mom, I’ve always wanted to uplift others and help them feel seen, hopeful, and inspired.

Going forward, she said she wanted to explore the central question, “Who is Jen Affleck?”

She admitted she’s still discovering herself – her values, goals, and place in the world. She expressed gratitude for the support she’s received, acknowledging she’s imperfect and always learning, but hopes sharing her struggles can inspire others.
