Taylor Swift traded her Christmas tree farm for Arrowhead Stadium this year.
As a huge fan, it was amazing to see Taylor Swift celebrating the holidays by supporting her fiancé, Travis Kelce, at the Chiefs game against the Broncos! It was such a special moment seeing them together.
Taylor Swift spent Christmas Day with her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift, her brother Austin, and Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, all together in a hotel suite. She wore a red bomber jacket by The Frankie Shop with black boots, tights, and a Louis Vuitton bag.
The Chiefs’ final home game of the season held extra significance for Travis Kelce, as it could have been his last NFL home game ever. However, despite the Broncos winning 20-13, Kelce told reporters he hasn’t decided whether to retire yet.
For now, he’s getting strong support from his closest friends and family. Taylor has often said she’s really come to enjoy football and watching Travis play, although she admits it can be a little nerve-wracking.
Taylor described the football games as intensely physical, comparing them to gladiatorial combat. During an October interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she explained she was completely focused on what the opposing player was doing throughout the entire season.
I’m constantly amazed by this athlete. Every week, he goes out there and risks everything, performing this incredibly dangerous, intense, and high-stakes sport. It’s truly inspiring to watch someone push themselves like that.
Needless to say, Taylor had learned a lot about football since she and Travis began dating in 2023.
Taylor recounted a story from her first date, telling the story on the “New Heights” podcast hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce. She asked him about the Super Bowl game between the Chiefs and the Eagles, and he actually looked over and saw his brother, Jason, standing right there on the field, just five feet away.
She later realized asking that question was silly, as the brothers’ roles never involved any direct conflict. However, his answer at the time revealed how much he valued her curiosity and willingness to learn.
She explained that he told her, “Surprisingly, both my brother and I are playing offense, but I’m only on the field when the defense is out there.” She admitted she had assumed everyone played at the same time.
She told Travis he hadn’t criticized her for being unfamiliar with his world.
