Some PlayStation 4 and 5 owners are reporting a Sega game they previously got for free with PlayStation Plus has disappeared from their game libraries. The reason for this is currently unknown, but similar issues have happened before, usually due to a technical error. While we can’t confirm, a glitch on the PlayStation Network is likely the cause.
Some PlayStation players are reporting that Endless Dungeon has disappeared from their PS4, PS5, and PS5 Pro consoles, even if they’ve already downloaded it. This is affecting those who previously played the game through their PS Plus Extra or Premium subscriptions. Since Endless Dungeon was only recently added to the service this summer, and subscription games usually stay available for at least a year or two, this seems unusual. Sony typically announces when games are leaving the service, so the current situation is unexpected.
Sega and Sony Are Silent
Neither Sony nor Sega has acknowledged the problem yet, so it’s unknown if they’re working on a solution. Both companies are just getting back to work after the holidays, which likely means they have a backlog of issues to address, so a fix might take some time. This isn’t unprecedented – recently, a glitch on PlayStation Network gave PS4 and PS5 players a free game, and it took Sony months to resolve that issue.
2023 Twin-Stick Shooter Meets Tower Defense
If you haven’t heard of Endless Dungeon, it’s a really cool mix of a twin-stick shooter and tower defense that came out in 2023. It’s made by Amplitude Studios and published by Sega, and it’s actually a sequel to Dungeon of the Endless from 2014. It got a pretty decent score of 75 on Metacritic, and a 3.68 out of 5 on the PlayStation Store. Honestly, a lot of people probably didn’t even notice it was suddenly pulled from PS Plus Extra and Premium, and maybe won’t even miss it. But if you were playing it as part of your subscription, you’re out of luck until they fix whatever happened.
