Selena Gomez, known for her role in Only Murders in the Building, recently changed her hairstyle. After sporting a long bob for over a year, she’s now rocking longer hair with a soft, layered look, which her stylist, Nikki Lee, calls a “velvet edge cut.”
Nikki shared photos of Selena’s new hairstyle on Instagram on February 28th, describing it as slightly longer with soft layers, and complementing her naturally stunning features.
Now 33, she has long, dark hair that reaches past her shoulders, with soft bangs framing her face.
Nikki has worked with Selena’s hair before. She styled it for the singer before her wedding to Benny Blanco last September, as Nikki owns the Nine Zero One salon where the work was done.
She shared on Instagram that she was happy to give her daughters a gloss and treatment before the wedding, and the outcome was beautiful.
For her walk down the aisle, Selena enlisted Renato Campora to style her locks.
According to a statement to TopMob News, the stylist applied Joico JoiWhip Design Foam to each section of the hair, from roots to ends. They then used a large round brush and blow dryer, pinning the hair to allow it to cool and set. This process was repeated all over the head to create a full, smooth foundation. The result was noticeably shiny, bouncy, and vibrant hair.
To capture the classic Old Hollywood look, Renato styled the hair with defined waves. He used a curling iron to create each wave, carefully pinning them in place while they cooled to maintain their shape.
According to a statement to TopMob News, the stylist applied Joico JoiWhip Design Foam from roots to ends of each section of hair, then used a large round brush and blow dryer to style and pin it while it cooled. This process was repeated all over the head to create a full, smooth foundation. Once cool, the hair appeared noticeably shiny, bouncy, and healthy.
To capture the classic Old Hollywood look, Renato styled the hair with defined waves. He used a curling iron to create each wave, carefully pinning them in place while they cooled to maintain the shape.
He pointed out that the pieces around the face are carefully styled to accentuate and complement the features.
The hairstylist finished with a beautiful, classic Marcel Wave bob, creating a healthy, glamorous look perfect for a special day celebrating love and beauty.
