Texas State Senator Angela Paxton and Texas’ Attorney General Ken Paxton are choosing to pursue separate paths.

Angela shared the news that she’s initiated a divorce process after being married to her partner for almost forty years. Together, they have four grown-up kids and five grandkids.

Today, following 38 years of wedlock, she disclosed that she’d petitioned for divorce based on scriptural reasons, explaining on the 10th of July. She holds a deep reverence for the sanctity of marriage and has tirelessly sought harmony in her union.

In view of recent findings, I no longer feel it aligns with God’s will or shows love towards myself, my kids, and Ken, to stay in this marriage. However, I am certain that God is orchestrating everything for the ultimate good of those who love Him and follow His plan.

For his part, Ken, also 62, released a statement of his own addressing their breakup.

In his post on July 10, he expressed that after enduring numerous political attacks and public criticism, Angela and I have chosen to embark on a fresh phase in our lives. He couldn’t be more proud or thankful for the extraordinary family we’ve been given by God, and he remains dedicated to helping our wonderful children and grandchildren thrive.

Ken finished, “I ask for your prayers and privacy at this time.”

According to a divorce petition obtained by The New York Times, it appears that Angela accused Ken of infidelity as the reason for their separation. Moreover, it’s stated in the papers that Angela and Ken haven’t resided as married partners since June 2024.
