Shaun White Sparks Romance Rumors After Nina Dobrev Breakup

Shaun White may have slid into a new relationship.

Following his split from Nina Dobrev after five years and a broken engagement nine months ago, snowboarder Shaun White is now reportedly dating model Angela Garten.

The couple spent a lovely day together in New York City on June 4th. They strolled along sunny streets, went for a bike ride, and did some shopping. While browsing in one store, they even shared a warm hug.

Despite the cozy outing, neither White nor Garten has addressed their relationship status. 

Nina Dobrev, known from The Vampire Diaries, hasn’t publicly started dating anyone new, but she’s hinted at how she’s been doing since her split from her former partner.

Just two months after splitting from White, Dobrev hinted at her single status in a November TikTok video, using Ariana Grande’s 2014 song “Break Free” as the soundtrack.

In a TikTok video, she appeared to reveal a breakup. Lip-syncing to a song, she flipped off the camera and showed her bare ring finger, mouthing the lyrics, “If you want it, take it… I can’t pretend anymore,” implying she should have spoken up sooner and can no longer hide the fact that she’s no longer in a relationship.

Just before news of Nina Dobrev and Shaun White’s split went public, Dobrev posted a curious message hinting at needing to ‘fix’ someone, which raised eyebrows.

Two days later, Dobrev attended the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Eternity without her engagement ring, which White had given her a year prior. News of their split was confirmed four days after the premiere.

Although Dobrev and White haven’t officially commented on their breakup, TopMob News reported they had split later that month. A source told People magazine, who first broke the story, that the decision was mutual, difficult, but made with love and respect.

In a clip from September 5th, the star of Love Hard jokingly responded to the question, “How do you sleep at night knowing people don’t like you?” by lip-syncing, “With no underwear, in case they want to kiss my butt.”

She went on to say, “If you’re trying to change your partner, remember he’s already got plenty of other people trying to do the same thing. It looks like everyone’s just part of a repair team!”
