Shocking: PlayStation Studios Are Hiring for New Games

We hope you’re sitting down for this: Some of Sony’s developers are hiring for their next projects.

We understand this might be surprising, but please take a moment to process it. Just breathe deeply and maybe think about something simple, like Sully’s mustache, to help you feel okay.

Now that the joking’s over, several PlayStation Studios teams are actively hiring, suggesting they’ve started working on their next projects.

As a big fan of PlayStation studios, I’ve been keeping an eye on things, and it looks like Team Asobi, Housemarque, and Polyphony Digital are all hiring a lot of people right now. A friend, Zuby_Tech on X, pointed it out, and it seems like all these job postings are little clues about what they’re working on next – exciting stuff!

I’ve been checking out Team Asobi’s job postings, and it’s pretty clear they’re working on another upbeat, action-packed game. They’re looking for an environment artist who can create really vibrant and detailed art, focusing on realistic textures but keeping a fun, playful style. Honestly, it totally sounds like they’re making another Astro Bot game, though they could surprise us!

Polyphony Digital has publicly announced it’s hiring for the Gran Turismo series, which isn’t unexpected. With numerous positions currently available, it appears the company is preparing to shift its development efforts from Gran Turismo 7 to the next game in the franchise.

It’s a little unclear what Housemarque is working on after Saros, but they appear to be hiring for their next project. They’re looking for a principal graphics programmer to help create the future of Housemarque games. While we don’t know the specifics, they don’t usually make direct sequels, which gives us a hint.

It’s always exciting to wonder what PlayStation Studios’ teams are working on, and it looks like many of them have started new projects.

What do you want to see from these developers in future? Tell us in the comments section below.
