Over the tranquil weekend for gaming updates (particularly following a chaotic week marked by job cuts), Anime Expo 2025 showcased an innovative panel dedicated to Konami’s Silent Hill. Led by series producer Motoi Okamoto, scriptwriter Ryukishi07, and composer Akira Yamaoka, the event offered a first glimpse of fresh footage from the impending survival horror game.
They displayed the opening scene for attendees, which CGMagazine has shared online. It centers around the main character, Hinako, conversing with a doll about past experiences and how other girls didn’t want to play with her. Her older sister, adorned in a yukata, enters the scene, giving Hinako a small bell as a gift before they share a moment, possibly a bug.
Afterward, the camera pulls back to reveal a Torii gate and the town of Ebisugaoka, the game’s locale, as if a mysterious fog were softly descending upon it. Starting September 25th, Silent Hill f will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC platforms. Players who opt for the Digital Deluxe Edition will gain early access for three days before the official release date.
