The “Whoop It Up” Challenge in Skate 4 requires you to land a Body Flip – and you might need to do it six times! This trick is tricky to master, even though the button presses are simple. It can be unreliable if you don’t understand the timing and technique. Plus, sticking the landing after a Body Flip isn’t easy. But don’t worry, we’ll guide you through everything you need to know to pull it off.
How to Body Flip for the Whoop It Up Challenge | Skate 4

Body Flips are one of the hardest tricks to land in the game. To do one, first perform a grab trick while you’re in the air by pressing LT/RT (on Xbox) or L2/R2 (on PlayStation). While still holding the grab, quickly move the left stick either up or down. If timed correctly, your skater will begin to rotate. Let go of the grab and make sure your feet are pointing down before landing to avoid falling.
These moves are difficult because they require precise timing. You have to let go of the left stick immediately after jumping. For example, if you were holding the stick forward to move, release it, then perform the grab, and *then* move the stick again. If you don’t release the stick while in the air, your character won’t rotate.
This technique isn’t limited to just one specific grab – it works with any grab you can do! You could even use a Christ Air if you have enough airtime. This is also helpful for completing the “Whoop It Up” Challenge, as that challenge doesn’t require any particular grab.
About that Challenge: you only need to complete 6 Body Flips total. You don’t have to do them while grinding or within a certain air time limit, and you have 5 minutes to finish. An easy way to do them is at the beginning – just use the D-Pad to go back to the start and complete the flips.
Now you know everything you need to perform a Body Flip and finish the “Whoop It Up” Challenge in Skate 4! It takes practice to master, but we’re confident you’ll get it with a little effort.
