Fans will be happy to hear that Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond, popular characters from The King of Fighters 14, are returning in the PlayStation 5 remaster of Dead or Alive 6: Last Round. This is a change from earlier announcements.
Here’s the unfortunate part: these items won’t be included with the regular version of the game. Plus, if you previously owned them in the PlayStation 4 version of Dead or Alive 6, you’ll have to purchase them again.
We were initially told the characters from SNK wouldn’t be included in this new release, so it’s great they’ve been added back in. However, having to buy them separately feels a little unfair, even though we realize licensing agreements can be complicated.
Hey everyone, just heard some cool news! The team is giving Lost Paradise a major lighting overhaul – they’re calling it Oboro. Apparently, if it looks good there, they plan to roll out similar improvements to other stages eventually. Fingers crossed it makes all our favorite levels look even better!
Honestly, this whole thing still feels a bit strange to me. Like I’ve heard before, if you already own the regular version of the game, you can’t just upgrade – you have to buy this ‘Last Round’ edition as if it’s a completely new game, which is a bummer.
The company has stated that certain downloadable content will be available on both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game, but they haven’t yet specified exactly which content will transfer over.
Currently, you’ll need to purchase Mai and Kula Diamond as separate items, even if you’ve bought them together in the past.
