Following Mega Man’s appearance in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds last month, Goro Majima from the Yakuza series is joining the game for a fun change of pace from his iconic role in his own games.
The latest update adds a new character to the racing game, available as free downloadable content. He’ll race alongside Red from Angry Birds and Arle from Puyo Puyo (who’s coming soon). To celebrate, the character gets a special Hawaiian-themed vehicle called the Goromaru. A “Captain Majima Festival” will run from April 30th to May 3rd, and the game will be free to play for a weekend, extending through May 4th.
You can also get a great deal on Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds right now! It’s heavily discounted on Steam as part of SEGA’s Golden Week Promotion, but the offer ends on May 7th. We really liked this racing game when we reviewed it, so it’s a purchase you won’t regret.
Now that all downloadable characters are available, fans are curious about the future of the game, especially since Sega anticipates selling another million copies this year. It sounds like even more exciting content is on the way, so keep an eye out for announcements!
