If you didn’t catch the latest open network test for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds by Sega, here’s some exciting news! A standalone demo will be accessible starting September 16th at 9 PM PST. However, please note that this demo can only be played on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, it won’t be compatible with PS4 or Xbox One systems.
Although Sega hasn’t specified the demo’s exact details yet, it seems likely that it will include both Grand Prix and Time Trial events, which are part of the trial version. You can enjoy these activities without an internet connection, which is great news! However, it’s uncertain if your progress in the demo will carry over to the full game. For now, there’s no indication that the demo is only available for a limited period.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds” is set to release on September 25th across all mentioned platforms. In addition, it will be available on Nintendo Switch 2 during this year’s holiday season. The initial open testing featured nine distinct courses apart from the CrossWorlds and allowed for customization of 21 vehicles. Additionally, players could operate 12 characters including Joker from “Persona 5,” who can be unlocked by participating in the limited-time Joker Festival.
Prepare yourself, as a free demonstration version of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, designed for solo play, will become available on Wednesday, September 17 starting at 12:01 AM (Eastern Time)! This early access gives you a chance to experience the game before its official launch.
