The next Sonic movie now has an official title, and two more actors have joined the cast, following Kristen Bell’s announcement earlier this year.
Keep an eye on Nick Offerman – you probably recognize him as Ron Swanson from Parks & Rec, a character known for his calm and serious personality. Veteran actor Ben Kingsley will also be joining the cast, bringing his powerful and charming presence to an as-yet-unrevealed role. Keanu Reeves and Jim Carrey are both returning as Shadow and Dr. Robotnik, respectively, along with other familiar faces from previous films.
The movie’s title doesn’t give away any details about the story, but it’s being made by the same director, Jeff Fowler, who did the previous film. We do know Metal Sonic will appear, and the story will likely be inspired by the Sonic CD game, though plans aren’t confirmed yet.
We’re sharing the movie title now to hold you over until we have more updates. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will be released in US theaters on March 19, 2027.
