Despite recent news suggesting PlayStation might be focusing less on PC gaming, Sony is actually expanding its INZONE line of gaming products specifically for PC gamers with some premium new offerings.
INZONE makes gaming gear like headphones and monitors, and they’ve consistently delivered high-quality products – though often at a premium price. We were particularly impressed with their INZONE M9 monitor and INZONE H9 II headphones.
Today, several new products were revealed, including a special gaming mouse created with the esports team Fnatic. But for those of us who just play on PS5, the most exciting announcements were the new headphones and a new OLED monitor.
The Sony INZONE H6 Air is a new, open-back gaming headset that players have been asking for. It costs £175 and connects with a wire. It’s the lightest headset in Sony’s INZONE range, weighing just 199g, and includes a removable microphone for clear communication. You can also use the included USB dongle to adjust the sound settings on your computer.
What really sets these headphones apart is their open-back design. This creates a more spacious sound, preventing the feeling of audio being trapped around your ears. Unlike Sony’s noise-cancelling headphones, you’ll also be able to hear your own voice clearly and naturally.
INZONE collaborated with PlayStation Studios to develop a special sound setting – an ‘RPG/Adventure’ equalizer – designed to mimic the audio environment of a professional sound studio. We’re eager to try it out with future PlayStation games, such as Saros.
The Sony INZONE M10S II is a premium OLED monitor designed for a top-tier gaming experience. It features a fast 27-inch QHD display with a 540Hz refresh rate and a 0.02ms response time, making it ideal for fast-paced competitive games like Valorant and Apex Legends.
This monitor features a glare-reducing display, technology to minimize motion blur, and a fast 720Hz refresh rate at HD resolutions. It also includes a dedicated tournament mode that adjusts the display to meet standard competitive regulations for 24.5-inch screens.
This is definitely more monitor than most PS5 players need, especially since the PS5 can only display up to 120Hz – meaning you’re only using a little over 20% of what this monitor can do. The price reflects that – it costs £1,199.
Okay, so the high refresh rate, lightning-fast response time, and that gorgeous OLED screen? Seriously, it delivers an amazing gaming experience. But honestly, even though it has the Sony name, this monitor is definitely built with PC gamers in mind, especially since it was developed with Fnatic. It feels like a PC-first product all the way.
