Okay, so we’re not getting a God of War remaster right now, which is a bummer, but honestly? A special edition PS5 controller is *amazing*! They’re releasing a DualSense controller with Kratos’s cool red mark on it to celebrate 20 years of the game, and as a fan, I’m totally grabbing one!
The new controller will be available starting October 23rd, 2025. You can pre-order it beginning October 3rd, and it will cost £74.99 in the UK or $84.99 in the US.
On the PlayStation Blog, art director Dela Longfish said:
When designing the controller, we instantly recognized its shape mirrored Kratos’ famous omega tattoo. This tattoo – the red ink on his ashen skin – is a defining visual element throughout the God of War series, both in the Greek and Norse realms. We carefully chose the controller’s colors to faithfully capture this iconic design and pay tribute to Kratos’ look over the past two decades.
