Update [Wed 17th Dec 2025, 5:30am]:
As hinted at before, PlayStation has partnered with the K-pop group QWER to create a music video for their song ‘Be Happy’.
This song originally appeared on the band’s latest EP, but this version has been updated with a holiday feel, including sleigh bells and some new instrumental arrangements.
The music video is full of references to PlayStation, showing the performers playing games like Astro Bot, Split Fiction, and the popular Korean game, Stellar Blade.

This partnership clearly required a significant investment, further demonstrating Sony’s commitment to promoting the PS5.
The popular Korean group QWER, recently recognized as the best new band at the Asia Artist Awards, will be partnering with Sony this Christmas to promote the PlayStation 5.
A short trailer depicts a group of friends using PlayStation’s DualSense controller and swapping presents. A magical blue ticket then appears, announcing “Be Happy. QWER with PlayStation. December 17th.”
The band recently released a song called ‘Be Happy,’ and we’re curious if PlayStation might create a music video for it, similar to the one they did with Yoasobi earlier this year. However, the song doesn’t really have a Christmas feel, so a holiday-themed video seems unlikely.
QWER is quickly becoming a major sensation in Korea, gaining popularity in the k-pop scene since their debut in late 2023. Before joining the group, two members were already popular streamers on Twitch, and another was previously a member of the Japanese idol group NMB48.
I’ve noticed Sony’s been working with a lot of K-pop stars recently, which is really smart! Like, they announced Lisa from BLACKPINK as a global ambassador earlier this year, and she’s been all over social media promoting their stuff. It’s a cool way to reach a new audience, and honestly, it’s working!
QWER’s growing popularity likely helped reduce the cost of this partnership. Because the group is already well-known within the gaming community – they recently visited Riot Games and promoted League of Legends – the platform owner probably expects this promotion to reach its target audience easily.
