Marvel fans are incredibly excited about Sony’s plans for the new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. We saw a first trailer in March, and rumors have been circulating that a more extensive look at the film would be released when tickets went on sale, and now it seems that’s happening.
Movie tickets are now available for purchase, starting at 6 am Pacific Time / 9 am Eastern Time. The announcement came with a short video featuring Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon.
It’s no surprise fans are disappointed. Although tickets for Brand New Day are selling quickly, showing there’s a lot of excitement for the movie, most people on X are asking for a trailer. Many are shocked that one hasn’t been released yet. There’s still plenty of time today for it to be released, but fans may need to be patient.

To be fair, Sony didn’t actually promise a new trailer, or say when one might be released. However, it wasn’t an unfair assumption to make. Several reliable sources hinted at a trailer, and it’s become standard practice to release trailers when ticket sales begin. It would have been logical for Sony to do that here, rather than release the short video featuring Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon. Plus, with ‘Toy Story 5’ opening this week, a trailer would have been a perfect addition to that major family film’s promotion.
This approach makes sense considering how Brand New Day has been marketed – with lots of hints and anticipation. Before the first trailer was revealed, small clips were shared by fans worldwide over a full day, building excitement piece by piece. It’s a risky but clever strategy that fits the game’s title, so we might see more reveals later today.
If we haven’t seen it yet, there’s still time – the movie isn’t released for over a month. This slow rollout matches their marketing strategy so far. Fans expected the first trailer as early as December (after a leak), then at the Super Bowl, but it finally arrived in mid-March. They’re releasing information when they want to, and while fans are eager for more, everything suggests the film will be a huge success regardless.
