The upcoming Amazon Prime Video and MGM+ show, Spider-Noir, will include several well-known villains with different abilities. Alongside the Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man storylines in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Noir will offer a unique take on the Spider-Man character, with Nicolas Cage playing a live-action version of Ben Reilly.
The new Spider-Noir series will showcase four of Spider-Man’s classic enemies: Electro (played by Joe Massingill), Sandman (Jack Huston), Silvermane (Brendan Gleeson), and Tombstone (Abraham Popoola). Each villain will have a significant part to play, challenging Nicolas Cage’s 1930s-era Spider-Man.
Scheduled for release in 2026, Spider-Noir is one of three upcoming Spider-Man projects. The series follows Ben Reilly, a struggling detective in 1930s New York, as he’s forced to become the Spider once again and serve as the city’s sole protector. Spider-Noir will premiere in the US on MGM+ on May 25th, and will be available worldwide on Prime Video starting May 27th.
All 4 Spider-Noir Villains Ranked by Power Level
4. Silvermane

After appearing in the upcoming DC film Joker: Folie à Deux, Academy Award nominee Brendan Gleeson is joining the Marvel universe. He’ll play Silvermane, a New York mob boss with a history connected to Ben Reilly, in the Spider-Noir series. Gleeson has described his character as a kind of “philosopher” who observes events with a detached perspective.
In some of his comic appearances, Silvermane has been turned into a cyborg, but there’s no sign that will happen in Spider-Noir. This means he might not gain any enhanced powers in this series. Even if he’s not the most powerful villain, he’ll still be a dangerous opponent for Spider-Man.
3. Tombstone

Abraham Popoola is joining the Spider-Noir comic series as a new take on the villain Tombstone. Initially described as a World War I veteran seeking advancement, artist Jorge Molina later confirmed the character’s identity as the classic Tombstone.
He might not be the typical New York mob boss fans know, but he’s still expected to have his signature incredibly tough skin and super strength. While he isn’t the most powerful villain here, his resistance to physical attacks will make him very difficult to beat.
2. Sandman

I’m really excited to see Jack Huston join the Marvel universe! He’s playing Flint Marko – you probably know him as Sandman – in the Spider-Noir series. From what I’ve heard, he’s portrayed as a tough bodyguard, kind of like hired muscle. And the trailers look amazing – it seems like he’ll definitely have those sand powers we all love from the comics!
Sandman, as seen in comics and other stories, has the power to manipulate sand all over his body. He can transform into any shape, even a massive sandstorm, and is remarkably strong. Because of his strength and ability to use sand as a weapon, he’s considered one of the most dangerous villains in the series.
1. Electro

Joe Massingill is joining the cast of Spider-Noir as the villain Electro, also known as Max Dillon. This will be the second time Electro appears in a live-action movie, following Jamie Foxx’s performances in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Trailers show Electro wielding incredible electrical powers, firing lightning and shocking opponents. Given his potential to be lethal, he appears to be the most powerful villain we’ve seen so far, though we haven’t yet seen the full scope of his abilities.
