Splinter Cell Remake, Next Ghost Recon, Far Cry 7, and More Targeting 2026/2027 Launch – Rumor

As Ubisoft is rumored to be developing the next installment of Rayman, expected to release towards the end of 2026, it appears their schedule for 2026 and 2027 will be quite full. According to Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, several exciting projects are slated for launch in this timeframe, including a new Ghost Recon titled “Ovr,” Assassin’s Creed Hexe, and a remake of Splinter Cell.

The official word is that the next installment of Ghost Recon is being worked on, though a specific release date hasn’t been announced yet. Inside sources have suggested an alpha version will be out this Fall, and assuming all goes smoothly, it might launch in the following year. There haven’t been many recent developments regarding the Splinter Cell Remake, but whispers from last year hint at a possible 2026 debut. Regarding Assassin’s Creed Hexe, earlier reports suggested it would follow after the support for Assassin’s Creed Shadows ends.

Indeed, there’s more to share. It appears Ubisoft is reportedly working on several exciting projects. These include the mainline Far Cry (codenamed Project Blackbird) and a spin-off shooter (Project Maverick), both in development. Additionally, they are set to release the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time before the current fiscal year ends. Other projects include Project Alterra, a game inspired by Animal Crossing, Project Crest, an extraction shooter set during World War 2, and Beyond Good and Evil 2.

The release dates for the remake of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, also known as Assassin’s Creed Invictus, are still uncertain. However, The Division 3, the upcoming installment of The Crew, along with several other mainline and smaller Assassin’s Creed projects past 2027, have been confirmed. Despite this, the next two years promise to be exciting, so keep an eye out for updates and potential announcements in the near future.
