Star Trek Fans, Buy This PS5, PS4 Game Before It’s Delisted Now

If you enjoy Star Trek and the story-driven gameplay of Telltale games, we highly recommend checking out Star Trek: Resurgence on PS5 or PS4 and buying it immediately. You can find it here.

The story-based adventure game, which came out in 2023, was unexpectedly removed from Steam just hours after its publisher, Bruner House, announced their distribution agreement was ending.

In a statement, the organisation said:

We’ve removed Star Trek: Resurgence from sale as our distribution license has expired. If you already own the game, you can still play it through Steam. Thank you to everyone who played and enjoyed it! Live long and prosper!

Although it’s not yet confirmed for all platforms, we expect the game will soon be removed from the PlayStation Store on both PS5 and PS4, based on how its distribution license works.

As of today, the game costs $24.99 or £19.99, and we highly recommend buying it now if you’re interested. Once purchased, it will be permanently available in your game library.

Star Trek: Resurgence was created by Dramatic Labs, a team formed by former developers from Telltale Games. Because of this, it feels much like Telltale’s popular games, such as The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us.

Although it didn’t receive rave reviews, the game achieved a Metacritic score of 71, which is decent, especially for those who already enjoy the original story.

We’d like publishers to let us know about potential problems like these as early as possible. We understand games are sometimes removed from digital stores, but giving players advance notice benefits everyone involved.
