Looking for unique collectibles? Auctions are a great place to find almost anything, no matter what you collect. Whether you’re into comics, action figures, trading cards, Disney items, or something else, you’re likely to discover something special. This week, we’re showcasing some top auction finds from Star Wars, Pokemon, DC, Marvel, and Disney that could be perfect for your collection.
Star Wars Toys and A Marvel Crossover You Never Expected

As May the 4th approaches, there’s a lot of excitement around Star Wars, and Goldin is hosting two large auctions featuring collectibles like memorabilia, trading cards, comics, and toys. A standout item is a rare Boba Fett figure – specifically, the Star Wars Boba Fett 21-Back B figure, graded AFA 75 EX+/NM. This figure marks Boba Fett’s first appearance on a card, making it highly desirable for collectors. Bidding is currently at $2,200, and the auction closes in two days.

Up for auction now is a truly unique and unusual item: an internal promotional poster from Industrial Light & Magic. It shows Yoda looking up at the Hulk, specifically the version starring Eric Bana. I didn’t even know this poster existed! It measures 20×25 inches, is displayed on metal, and is in excellent condition. The current high bid is $1,350, and there are only two days left to bid.
TCG Mayhem With Pokemon, Disney Lorcana, and Magic x Lord of the Rings

We’re now auctioning off three fantastic trading card games, each unique. First is a rare 2016 Japanese Pokémon X & Y promotional card featuring Pikachu in a Rayquaza poncho. This card is particularly desirable because of its charming design and the growing popularity of costumed Pikachu cards. It’s been professionally graded as PSA Gem Mint 10, making it even more valuable. Currently, the bidding on Golden is at $7,500, and you have 1 day and 22 hours left to place your bid.

Now, let’s look at the 2023 Magic: The Gathering x Lord of the Rings Tales of Middle-earth set, specifically the Showcase Foil versions. This collection features 20 cards, each professionally graded as a perfect GEM MT 10 by PSA, and they’ve been beautifully framed in an 18 x 23.5-inch display. Notable cards include The One Ring, Gandalf the White, and the Witch-King of Angmar. The set is currently being auctioned, with the bidding starting at $5,000. The auction will close in 15 days and 22 hours.

As a huge Disney and trading card fan, I’m absolutely blown away by what’s up for auction on Goldin right now! It’s the complete, graded master set of Disney Lorcana’s The First Chapter from 2023 – all 437 cards have received a perfect GEM MT 10 grade from PSA! Being the very first set of Disney Lorcana, The First Chapter is incredibly popular, and this collection has everything – all the regular cards, plus the incredibly rare, beautifully designed 12 Enchanted rarity cards. The bidding is currently at $6,500, and you still have 15 days and 22 hours to get in on it if you’re interested!
DC and Marvel First Appearances You Don’t Want To Miss

Let’s move on to comics now, and we’re starting with a key issue from DC. Heritage Auctions is currently auctioning a copy of Detective Comics #38, graded VG 3.5 by CGC. While not in perfect condition, this issue is highly collectible because it marks the first appearance of Dick Grayson – the original Robin, who later became Nightwing. The current high bid is $13,000, and the auction will close in 5 days.

As a huge Ghost Rider fan, I’m keeping a close eye on this auction at Heritage Auctions! They’re offering a nearly perfect copy – a CGC 9.8 – of Marvel Spotlight #5, which is a really big deal because it’s the very first appearance of Johnny Blaze as Ghost Rider, along with Roxanne Simpson. High-grade copies of this issue are incredibly rare, and with Ghost Rider still being so popular, it’s no surprise the bidding is already at $110,000! If you’re interested, you only have 5 days to get your bid in.
