The long-awaited game Starfield is finally coming to PlayStation 5 on April 7th! Along with a major new update called Free Lanes and a paid expansion, Terran Armada, players on PS5 will be able to get the base game for $49.99 – a lower price than what Xbox and PC players paid when it was first released in 2023.
Like Obsidian’s Avowed, the price of this game has been permanently reduced across all platforms. If you choose to purchase the $69.99 Premium Edition, you’ll receive the base game, plus the Terran Armada and Shattered Space expansions. It also includes the Constellation Skin Pack, a digital art book, the game’s soundtrack, and 1,000 in-game credits.
If you’d like to upgrade to the Premium Edition later, it’s available for $24.99. However, purchasing the Premium Edition upfront is actually $5 cheaper overall. Great work, Todd!
Even if Terran Armada isn’t a huge hit, the new Free Lanes update brings some great improvements. You can now travel around star systems without loading screens thanks to Cruise Mode, and X-Tech lets you try for better weapon upgrades. Plus, there are new crewmates and you even get your own asteroid mansion!
