Despite ongoing speculation, reliable leaker billbil-kun from Dealabs claims that Starfield is coming to PlayStation 5 on April 7th, with both digital and physical copies available.
The game is rumored to come in two versions: a Standard Edition for £49.99 / €44.99 and a Premium Edition for £69.99 / €69.99. Pre-orders are expected to begin on March 17th in the evening or March 18th, though it’s unclear if pre-orders will start at the same time as the official game announcement.
There’s been talk that news about a PlayStation 5 version of the game and the next expansion will arrive in March. Bethesda’s Todd Howard recently mentioned that new information is coming “soon,” but didn’t specify what it would be. He also cautioned fans not to anticipate a massive overhaul or sequel-like update.
Okay, so the price is actually pretty cool. If the standard version costs $49.99 here in the US, it’s a smart move, kind of like what Microsoft did with Avowed. They originally charged $69.99 for that game, but dropped it to $49.99 before it hit PlayStation – a full $20 off! Maybe it’s a way to win over PlayStation players who had to wait so long for the port, but honestly, that price feels super competitive and might be just right.
Starfield is currently available on Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out our review of the base game.
