PlayStation fans are eagerly awaiting the next State of Play presentation, with rumors pointing to February 12th as the date. It appears PlayStation may have accidentally confirmed this by mistake. Mihir Sheth, a director in product development, briefly retweeted an announcement for the event – but it was actually for last year’s show.
The original post has been removed, but you can still see a copy here (thanks to Reddit). It seems Sheth may have mistakenly believed it was current information and shared it thinking the announcement was live, when it was actually from last year. Or, he might have been deliberately hinting at it, and took the post down once people realized what it likely meant.
I’m getting really excited for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach! Hideo Kojima just tweeted that he’s working on a new trailer, and that always happens before a big reveal like a State of Play. Plus, Sony usually holds these showcases around this time of year, so it feels like it’s definitely coming soon. Honestly, knowing Sony, they’ll probably just announce the date one day before it actually happens!
Keep an eye out for future updates, but when the next State of Play event happens, we’ll likely get a look at Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, Saros, 4Loop, and possibly that rumored 2.5D Metroidvania game based on God of War.
