The PS Portal has been a big hit with customers, letting people easily stream and play their PS5 games anywhere in their house.
Surprisingly, Sony’s own Remote Play doesn’t measure up to PX Play, a fan-made alternative. PX Play is receiving a significant update for computers running Windows, macOS, and Linux.
We’re currently using the Android version on our Retroid Pocket, and it works much better than the PS Portal.
So, the new update doesn’t officially support mobile gaming right now. But if you’re like me and play on a PC handheld – I’m talking Steam Deck or something similar – it’s definitely worth checking out! It might work for us.
We’ve added some great new features you can try out for free! These include support for 4K video, significantly faster response times, and reduced strain on your computer’s processor. Simply put, you’ll get smoother, more responsive gameplay at higher resolutions without slowing down your system.
Feedback is already remarkable, with users describing it as an “amazing update”.
We highly recommend this software! It’s better than what Sony offers, and it’s a great option if you want a PS Portal-like experience on a non-PlayStation handheld PC.
We hope to see some of these improvements on the Android version as well, which is already very good.
