The first teaser trailer for Steven Spielberg’s UFO movie has been released.
I’m really excited for Spielberg’s next film! It’s coming out in 2026 through Universal Pictures, and it’ll be his first movie since ‘The Fabelmans’ in 2022. The cast looks amazing too – Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Colman Domingo, Eve Hewson, and a bunch of other talented actors are all on board.
What do we know about Steven Spielberg’s UFO movie?
Until recently, details about Steven Spielberg’s UFO movie were closely guarded. Now, the first trailer for the film, officially named ‘Disclosure Day,’ has been released. You can watch it here:
The preview shows Emily Blunt playing a TV weather reporter who unexpectedly starts speaking an alien language on air. She then teams up with Brian Tyree Henry on a mission to share a crucial message with the world. While the roles of Colin Firth and Benicio del Toro are still a mystery, the trailer’s overall feel is reminiscent of films like Arrival, Signs, and Knowing. However, given Steven Spielberg’s directing style, ‘Disclosure Day’ promises to be a unique and unforgettable cinematic experience.
The tagline for Disclosure Day asks: would you be scared to learn we aren’t the only ones? It promises that this summer, the truth about extraterrestrial life will be revealed to everyone – all seven billion people on Earth. Something big is about to happen… it’s calling it Disclosure Day.
The screenplay for Disclosure Day was written by David Koepp, a frequent collaborator with director Steven Spielberg. They’ve worked together on several films, including Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment produces the film, with Kristie Macosko Krieger, and Adam Somner and Chris Brigham serve as executive producers.
Disclosure Day will be released in United States theaters on June 12, 2026.
