Storage Wars’ Darrell Sheets Dead at 67

A longtime A&E star has died. 

Darrell Sheets, known for his appearances on the TV show Storage Wars from 2010 to 2023, passed away on April 22nd in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was 67 years old, according to a statement from police to TopMob News.

Police in Lake Havasu City responded to a call and found a man dead at a home. He has been identified as Sheets, and authorities believe his death was a suicide.

The medical examiner’s office in Mohave County is handling the case, and the investigation is ongoing.

For more than 30 years, Sheets has been buying the contents of abandoned storage units and reselling valuable items – that’s how he started his business.

According to his Fox Business profile, he’s discovered everything imaginable in storage units – from worthless junk to valuable artwork like Picassos. He’s nicknamed ‘The Gambler’ because he’s willing to take big risks and usually succeeds.

Sheets said that above all else, his family—especially his partner, Kimber Naisbitt Pino—was what he cherished most.

Kimber is the most important person in my life and has always believed in my unusual career path, he shared. We each have two children, and together we’re proud grandparents to four wonderful grandchildren who bring us so much joy.

And continuing the family tradition, his son, Brandon Sheets, regularly attends auctions with him.

According to A&E, Darrell enjoys collecting storage units not just for the thrill of discovery, but also for what he learns in the process. He wants to share this unique hobby and the skills he’s gained with his son.

Sheets told Fox how grateful she is to have her son with her every day, adding that she grew up in a big family and is known as the family’s prankster.

Besides the thrill of finding worthwhile storage units to buy, he also relaxed by boating and playing both the drums and guitar.

John Sheets, known for appearances on shows like Rachael Ray and The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, loved dogs. In 2023, he posted a picture of his dogs on Instagram with a heartfelt caption about how much joy they brought him, playfully referencing the origin of the word ‘dog’.
