Fans are eagerly anticipating the final season of Stranger Things, which will wrap up a story that’s been unfolding for nearly ten years.
For Linnea Berthelsen, who plays Kali, this season marks the end of an eight-year run with the show, as she first appeared in season 2 and now returns for its fifth and final season.
At the close of Stranger Things season 5, volume 2, Kali and Eleven face a heartbreaking choice. They must consider sacrificing themselves to save others, after learning that Dr. Kay used Kali’s blood to revive Dr. Brenner’s program.
That’s all I can really say. Her story has reached a natural conclusion, and it felt both satisfying and moving for me personally.
She believes the finale will be deeply moving for viewers, the show’s creators, and the cast, especially considering how supportive the fans have been throughout the series.
Let me tell you, I got to be at the table read, which was incredible. I felt so lucky to be in that room and witness the ending unfold – honestly, it was a total tearjerker! Everyone was crying. And every time I’ve gotten to experience the story since then, it’s just been powerfully emotional, beautifully written, and expertly crafted. It really gets to you.
We’re aiming to make the finale feel true to the series and ensure each character’s ending feels natural and unavoidable. That’s our main goal.
