Stefan Dennis, hailing from Australia, is a renowned actor and musician, primarily recognized for his role as Paul Robinson on the long-running soap opera, Neighbours, which debuted in 1985.
In 1992, he put down the soap bar and didn’t return for a short while afterwards. He later took up the role again in 2004 and has been playing it ever since, but his stint as this character will conclude towards the end of this year as Neighbours was cancelled on Amazon Freevee.
Dennis has been accustomed to the British weather for more than a decade, as he’s performed in numerous plays and musicals in the United Kingdom. It was during this time that he secured the role of Dr Marcus McKenzie in the Scottish soap opera River City.
Though Dennis might not be very familiar with dancing, he possesses a strong singing talent that led him to release the single “Don’t It Make You Feel Good” in 1989, which peaked at No. 16 on the UK Singles Chart.
What has Stefan Dennis said about Strictly Come Dancing?
The news about Dennis getting cast was shared on This Morning, which came after Vicky Pattison’s announcement during the same episode earlier.
The actor expressed enthusiasm about joining Strictly Come Dancing, stating it provides him another chance to challenge himself beyond his usual comfort zone on TV. He’s excited about the glitz and aims high.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and iPlayer later this year.
