Strictly Come Dancing’s La Voix confirmed to miss out on Blackpool special

La Voix won’t be appearing on this weekend’s Strictly Come Dancing special in Blackpool due to an injury.

The planned special episode will still happen, featuring all six remaining couples dancing at the famous Blackpool Tower.

La Voix said: “It is with immense sadness that I have to withdraw from this weekend’s Strictly Come Dancing shows in Blackpool. Due to an injury, I’ve been advised that I’m unable to perform, and my heart truly breaks knowing I won’t be dancing in such an iconic venue.

Aljaž and I poured our hearts into our routine, and we were thrilled to finally share it with everyone. It’s incredibly disappointing that I won’t be able to dance on that iconic dance floor with the rest of the cast, but right now, my priority is getting better. I’ll be right there cheering on all the fantastic couples this weekend, though!

A Strictly representative said La Voix has been told by doctors to rest due to an injury, meaning they won’t be performing in this weekend’s Blackpool shows. Following the show’s rules, La Voix and their partner Aljaž will automatically advance to next week, with hopes they’ll be well enough to dance then. Everyone wishes La Voix a quick recovery.

This year’s Blackpool show promises to be a highlight, featuring the return of four popular dancers from previous seasons. They’ll be back on the dance floor where they first competed.

Last week, it was announced that Ashley Roberts, Danny Mac, Jay McGuiness, and Layton Williams will return to perform with the professional dancers. They’ll each recreate a memorable dance from their time on Strictly Come Dancing, and then everyone will come together for a special performance in the famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

I’m so excited for the Blackpool show on Saturday! It’s going to kick off with an amazing performance by Steps – they’ll be singing all their classic songs, and the professional dancers, celebs, and even the judges will be right there with them. It’s going to be a spectacular start!

The finalists’ dance, created by Jason Gilkison, will be shown on the Sunday results show from Blackpool. The show will also include a performance by Lewis Capaldi, dancing with the professional dancers.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday 21st November at 6:35pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
