Lewis Cope has been consistently wowing viewers and judges with his performances on the dance floor every weekend.
Cope isn’t just showcasing his talent on Strictly; many viewers recognize and appreciate him for his role as Nicky Miligan on the soap opera Emmerdale.
Leon Cope joined the cast of the ITV soap in December 2022, playing the nanny to Gabby Thomas’s son. It was later discovered he was actually Caleb’s son, and they were working together to take Kim Tate’s business and money.
He played his role on the soap opera until recently, when his character, Nicky, and her boyfriend, Suni Sharma (played by Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana), decided to leave town after discovering that people they trusted had been hiding major secrets.
With it now having been over a year since Nicky was last in the village, could he ever return?

Honestly, being around everyone involved with the show has been a real joy – they’re all incredibly kind and have been wonderfully supportive of my journey. It’s impossible to predict what the future holds, but I’m feeling optimistic!
The actor has been doing very well on Strictly Come Dancing lately, even earning a perfect score with partner Katya Jones during Movie Week.
We’re giving it our all in training, and we’ll see what happens on Saturday,” Cope explained. “The experience was incredible – I was honestly lost for words, which is rare for me.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1. Stream on ITVX.
