Sullivan’s Crossing Gets Season 4 Release Date After Major Cast Shakeup

I’m so excited! I just found out when the new season of one of my favorite shows on Netflix is coming out. Season 4 will be available to watch very soon!

The fourth season of Sullivan’s Crossing is coming to Netflix in the US on June 30th, just over a week after it finishes airing on The CW, according to What’s on Netflix.

Sullivan’s Crossing Has Been a Huge Hit on Netflix

Although Sullivan’s Crossing isn’t a Netflix original – it first airs on CTV in Canada and The CW in the U.S. – it’s become very popular with Netflix viewers, even reaching the No. 3 spot during its third season.

Created by Roma Roth, who also oversees the show, Sullivan’s Crossing is inspired by the novels of the same name by Robyn Carr. The series centers around Maggie Sullivan, a neurosurgeon portrayed by Morgan Kohan, whose life is turned upside down by a legal issue.

The story begins with Maggie going back to her childhood home of Timberlake, Nova Scotia, hoping to rebuild her relationship with her father, Sully. Chad Michael Murray plays Cal Jones, who becomes a romantic interest for Maggie.

Season four sees Maggie Sullivan finding stability at the Crossing, both in her career and with Cal. However, her ex-husband, Liam, unexpectedly appears with news that throws her life into chaos and makes Cal wonder if Maggie can ever fully escape her past.

Sullivan’s Crossing Lost a Major Cast Member Ahead of Season 4

Viewers will notice a change when Season 4 of Sullivan’s Crossing premieres on Netflix on June 30th: actor Chad Lowe will not be returning. He decided to leave the show after three seasons because of disagreements about the direction of the story.

The actor shared with Deadline in March that he loved playing his character, Sully, and felt very connected to the story. However, he explained that disagreements with the show’s direction grew too significant, ultimately leading to his decision to leave. He said he sadly realized he couldn’t continue with the show under those circumstances.

Following Patterson’s unexpected departure, Season 4 of Sullivan’s Crossing explains that Sully is currently still traveling abroad, continuing the storyline from Season 3 where he went to Ireland. While there was some talk earlier this year about potentially bringing the actor back for future seasons, he hasn’t received any official offer to return for Season 5.

Sullivan’s Crossing Season 4 arrives on Netflix on June 30.
