Summer Game Fest is coming back in 2026! Host and producer Geoff Keighley announced it will take place on June 5th at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. This is a change from the previous location, the YouTube Theater, and is notable because the Dolby Theatre is famous for hosting the Academy Awards since 2001.
I’m so excited for the next gaming show! Keighley says it’s going to be an amazing event with a look at all the newest games coming out on every platform. We don’t know exactly what they’ll be showing yet, but tickets are going on sale this spring! If you want to see how last year’s show went, you can check it out here.
On December 11th, Geoff Keighley will host The Game Awards at the Peacock Theater. The show promises major announcements, first looks at new games, and appearances by celebrities, culminating in the reveal of Game of the Year. While the nominees aren’t known yet, *Clair Obscur: Expedition 33* from Sandfall Interactive is considered a frontrunner, having received six nominations at the Golden Joystick Awards.
