The movie first showed at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival and then released in theaters on November 7th. The biggest success was The Housemaid, which earned $395 million worldwide on a $35 million budget – eleven times its cost! This made it director Sweeney’s most profitable film. It continued to perform well digitally, remaining popular for rental and purchase, and then premiered on Starz on April 1st, quickly becoming one of the platform’s most-watched releases.
