Tamar Braxton is recovering after a near-fatal incident.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share this heart-stopping tale straight from the horse’s mouth – the melodious voice behind “All the Way Home” has bravely bared that she’s just come out of a close call with the grim reaper. A cherished soul stumbled upon her in dire straits, and it took every ounce of courage for her to open up about this harrowing experience.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on August 19th, she shared that writing had been challenging for her due to the constant interruptions by calls. Exhausted and weak, she confessed she could barely speak. She revealed that she had come perilously close to death on Sunday, having sustained injuries to her face in an incident where she was found unconscious in a pool of blood, attended by her friend.
After being fortunately discovered on time, Tamar, aged 48, mentioned that the impact of the distressing incident has increased since it first happened.
Over time, things seem to be getting more and more challenging for me. I ended up with a broken nose, some missing teeth, and reduced mobility.
The longer this goes on, the harder it gets for me. I’ve sustained injuries such as a fractured nose, lost some teeth, and have less movement.
As a devoted admirer, I find myself compelled to share my thoughts, echoing Tamar’s words about an event involving her and her ex-husband Vincent, with whom she shares son Logan, now 12. Although the details of how this incident unfolded are hazy in my memory, its repercussions on her perspective have been profound and unmistakable.
She expressed that her perspective on life has changed drastically, now that her health is improving. As this new chapter in her life unfolds, she embarks on a mental journey. She asks sincerely for your prayers.
TopMob News has reached out to Tamar’s rep for comment but has not heard back.
Before I share my unfortunate situation with you all, let me first express my deep gratitude. Every day is truly a blessing that I’m grateful to wake up to, and I felt compelled to share this sentiment on my Instagram Stories earlier today – a simple ‘Thank you, God, for waking me up today.’
In December 2022, a former star from the “Braxton Family Values” series faced another health issue following symptoms similar to the flu.
As I enjoyed some festive fun with my dearest companions Normankgyamfi and Wardellmalloy during our shopping spree, little did I know that the next day would take an unexpected turn. The following morning, I found myself in need of a hospital visit via ambulance. I was gasping for breath, feeling as though my time had come, with severe chest pains that made it feel like heaven was calling me home.
Later on, Tamar asked her followers to “exercise caution” since she mentioned that her condition was highly infectious, using a more casual term.
She mentioned that she was rarely among many others, clueless about its origin. Her advice for the upcoming holiday is to celebrate at home since one wouldn’t want a similar mystery to arise.

In February 2017, Jamie Lynn Spears’ young daughter Maddie Aldridge found herself in trouble while operating an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) close to their house in Louisiana. Unfortunately, she lost control and the vehicle flipped into a pond, causing her to be underwater for several minutes.
On the Maria Menounos Better Together podcast in 2020, Jamie Lynn described the moment when they managed to pull her out of the water and saw her condition, she and those present feared that they had lost their daughter. In other words, they believed their little girl was gone.
Two days following the incident, despite their uncertainty about the extent of the harm, Maddie managed to regain consciousness and began talking again. Approximately three weeks later, she resumed her usual daily activities.
Jamie Lynn expressed gratitude, saying, “God granted me the gift of returning my daughter to me. I had lost her, but now she’s back in my life again.
During the filming of the 2025 action comedy “Bride Hard,” starring Rebel Wilson and Anna Camp, an unexpected incident occurred on the final day of Rebel’s secret agent scenes. In a heated fight sequence, a prop gun accidentally struck Rebel across the face. She shared this experience with Access Hollywood in a June 2025 interview, stating, “It was purely a fluke accident that left my nose split open. I had to leave set that night as it was my last shooting day. I couldn’t help but think, ‘What more bad luck can I possibly have?’
In the midst of a pool of her own blood, she acknowledged being extremely alarmed during the 2023 incident. “They had to call an ambulance and summon a plastic surgeon,” she explained, “otherwise, I would have been left permanently disfigured. Fortunately, we managed to get ahold of a plastic surgeon who performed all the necessary stitches. Now, you can’t even tell there was any injury.
Jimmy Fallon, the presenter of The Tonight Show, nearly suffered an injury to his finger when he tripped and tumbled at his residence. In a desperate attempt to break his fall, he grabbed onto the kitchen counter, but unfortunately, his ring got caught during the descent, causing his finger to be forcefully removed from it.
He experienced what was referred to as “detachment of a ring,” which required a 10-day hospital stay while doctors worked diligently to avoid amputation.
While on a hike up California’s Mount Whitney with his father, Ryan Wach, in June 2025, the seasoned athlete, Zane Wach, who excels in long-distance running, swimming, and triathlons, almost succumbed to altitude sickness.
Ryan clarified to SFGATE about the 14-year-old, “He began perceiving illusions instead, which he recognized as such. He described seeing images of snowmen and Kermit the Frog appearing to him.
Ryan repeatedly prevented his teenage son from venturing over the cliff edge several times during their descent on the trail. “His mental state was unusual, and we’re still unsure of what led to it,” the father explained. “My assumption is that it was a mix of fatigue, lack of sleep, possibly some dehydration, and lingering effects from altitude sickness. However, he seemed to question reality itself.
On the third try, Ryan could not reach Zane fast enough because he was too distant. He could only watch as Zane plummeted approximately 120 feet from the cliff edge. Then, they waited for six hours until an Inyo County Search & Rescue helicopter arrived and transported Zane to Southern Inyo Hospital in Lone Pine. After stabilization, he was sent to a pediatric trauma center in Las Vegas. Eventually, he regained consciousness and started breathing independently while in a medically induced coma.
Ryan stated that their situation is shaping up to be a survival tale, given his teen’s multiple injuries including head trauma, a broken finger, ankle, and fractured pelvis. However, he emphasized that they are currently right in the midst of this challenging ordeal.
On January 1st, 2023, actor Jeremy Renner, famous for his role in Avengers, found himself assisting when a truck got stuck in snow near his home in Lake Tahoe. He was operating a snowplow to help, but unfortunately, after stepping out of the machine, he was dragged underneath while trying to prevent it from hitting his nephew. This unfortunate incident resulted in him suffering 38 broken bones.
In his 2025 memoir titled “My Next Breath“, he recounted the moment on New Year’s Day when, as he lay on the ice, his heart rate decreased. Unbeknownst to his daughter, sisters, friends, father, and mother, it was then that he grew weary. He explained that following approximately thirty minutes of manually breathing, a task equivalent to performing ten or twenty push-ups per minute for half an hour… it was at that point that I ceased to live.
Overcoming fractured bones, severe blood loss, and the risk of hypothermia, he penned down, ‘I believe I’ve perished-indeed, I am convinced.’ Upon the arrival of the emergency medical team, they observed that his heart rate had plummeted to a near standstill at 18 beats per minute, which, given the usual definition of death is a heartbeat below 20, suggested he was virtually deceased.
In May 2025, Emilie Kiser and her husband Brady Kiser were confronted with an unbearable tragedy when their three-year-old son Trigg Kiser accidentally fell into their swimming pool at their residence in Arizona.
On May 12th, the Chandler Police Department reported that they were called to a house due to a drowning incident involving a young child who was found unresponsive in the backyard pool. Emergency responders, including police and firefighters, performed CPR on the scene before transporting the child to Chandler Regional Hospital. Regrettably, the toddler passed away six days later.
Later on, Emilie initiated a court case aimed at preventing Maricopa County public offices from disclosing details concerning her deceased relative’s death. The statement in the lawsuit reads, “Emilie is doing everything she can to support her surviving son, newborn Theodore,” emphasizing that each day brings a challenge.
Dr. Cara Hodgson’s family trip to Thailand in December 2023 unexpectedly turned into a harrowing ordeal when she was tragically electrocuted by power lines, resulting in what she described as the most difficult 10 days of her life. Following a fainting spell and an urgent trip to the emergency room, the influencer spent the following week and a half shuttling between hospitals, battling to recover her strength and clinging to life itself. In a heartfelt New Year’s Day Instagram post, she expressed her profound gratitude for surviving this traumatic experience.
Through the ordeal, the orthodontist discovered yet another cause for joy amidst the discomfort. Reflecting on the experience, Cara mused aloud, “There’s a lesson I believe we all need to remember when we focus too much on minor details: The amazing gift of life itself is truly precious – being able to breathe, eat, speak, and move freely are wonders that deserve our gratitude and celebration.
Unfortunately, a tragic incident occurred during a hike by Brazilian tourist, Juliana Marins, on Mount Rinjani, an active volcano in Indonesia, in June 2025. After falling from a cliff, but not into the volcano’s crater, a search and rescue team of 48 individuals faced challenging weather, terrain, and visibility conditions for four days in the region before finding Juliana’s body, as reported by the Brazilian government in their statement.
Today’s update from Juliana Marins’ family’s Instagram account states that rescuers were able to get to where she was located. Unfortunately, it is with heavy hearts that we share the news that she did not make it. We are deeply appreciative of all the prayers, affectionate messages, and support that have poured in.
At an Easter brunch in 2015 held at the Japanese eatery, Benihana, Tori Spelling – once a prominent figure on ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ – had an unfortunate accident. She tripped and ended up burning her right arm on one of the grills used for cooking on the Hibachi. Following medical intervention that included skin grafts to heal the wound, Tori Spelling opted to file a lawsuit against the restaurant.
She explained on a 2024 episode of her podcast “9021OMG” with Jennie Garth that she had to undergo a skin graft, using a piece from her leg. This means she now has a part of her thigh on her arm because the skin on her arm burned severely. So, in essence, she’s not joking when she says she’s wearing her thigh on her arm.
At France’s Rock&Cars festival in June 2024, comedian Tony Knight tragically lost his life when two large tree branches fell on him. As shared by Joanne Allen, Tony’s sister-in-law and longtime partner Hayley Wright’s sibling, Tony was vibrant at the age of 54, fully enjoying every moment of his life. He was in excellent health, brimming with happiness, and had a promising future ahead. Known for his charm, humor, and enthusiasm, Tony truly touched many lives.
Indeed, he was deeply cherished by his enduring partner. As Haley expressed in her Instagram post, “He was an exceptionally gifted individual, with numerous skills at his disposal.” Truly, there seemed to be nothing he couldn’t accomplish. He was a dear friend to countless individuals, a loving dog parent… yet above all else, he was my universe, and life will never feel the same without him.
The celebration for software company Vistex in January 2024 took an unfortunate turn. As part of their 25th anniversary festivities, CEO Sanjay Shah and president Vishwanath Raju Datla were expectedly lowering themselves into an iron cage on a dais during the party in India. However, two wires unexpectedly broke, causing the men to plummet onto the concrete stage instead. This was confirmed by a company representative to The Times of India.
According to the newspaper report, Sanjay, aged 56, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital after an accident, whereas Vishwanath, who was 52, endured a critical head injury and passed away several months later.
At the age of 19, Orlando Bloom disclosed in a 2022 Instagram video with UNICEF, that he had fallen three stories from a window and fractured his spine. This happened when he was attempting to reach the rooftop terrace of a three-story building with friends. As they climbed, the drainpipe they were using gave way. Miraculously, despite breaking multiple vertebrae in his back, he managed to survive because his spinal cord miraculously remained intact.
He explained, “During my hospital stay, I was informed for four initial days that I might not walk again. This marked the start of a prolonged and challenging process for me as I began to uncover and comprehend some recurring patterns in my life that had been causing multiple accidents. The final and most critical incident was breaking my back, which was close to being fatal.
After being discharged from the hospital wearing a back brace, enduring an abundance of physical and emotional discomfort, he immediately began socializing – all while still wearing his brace. He recounted this to GQ in 2005, explaining that it took him a couple of months to acknowledge that this was his life as he knew it, and he did not wish to jeopardize it.
His experience has shaped every aspect of his life, he noted. You don’t truly understand until you come close to losing it. Previously, I drove motorbikes and cars as if they were race tracks – it was quite reckless. It wasn’t about trying to be trendy; it was more about enjoying the thrill of living dangerously. However, I’ve calmed down now.
