Taylor Sheridan is solidifying his position as a major force at Paramount, with three of his shows currently leading the way in streaming numbers. He started his career as an actor, appearing in shows like Walker, Texas Ranger, but gained significant recognition as the writer of the critically acclaimed film Sicario. Beyond films like Hell or High Water and Wind River, Sheridan has found immense success on television, notably with Yellowstone, starring Kevin Costner, which has become one of the most popular shows of the last decade. Now, three more of his series are attracting huge audiences on Paramount+.
While Yellowstone is well-known, Taylor Sheridan’s series Landman, Tulsa King, and Mayor of Kingstown are currently performing best on Paramount+. Landman is the most-watched show on Paramount+, including viewers who access it through Amazon Prime Video. Mayor of Kingstown ranks third in popularity on both platforms. Tulsa King is fourth most popular directly on Paramount+, and seventh among those watching through Amazon Channels.
When Landman first came out, many wondered if it could compare to Yellowstone. Initially, the show received a lot of criticism. But over time, even those who were unsure about it started to enjoy it. Now, Landman is one of Taylor Sheridan’s most popular shows, though Yellowstone remains the biggest hit. Tulsa King continues to be a favorite, boosted by Sylvester Stallone’s charismatic performance. Mayor of Kingstown, with Jeremy Renner, is Sheridan’s most controversial show, but it’s developed a dedicated following, and the fourth season is currently being released.
